The service

Slasher Mail mails a serialized horror story, The Second Key, as printed letters, one per month. The story is 12 letters. It is a work of fiction for adults 18+ and contains stalking, threats, violence and death. Names, characters, places and events are invented; any resemblance to real people or places is coincidental. Nothing in the letters is a real threat or refers to the reader.

Plans and renewal

Monthly plan: your first letter is free. After a 30-day free trial, $19 is charged automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. It ends on its own after the season's final letter. Gift packs: 3 months ($59), 6 months ($109), 9 months ($155) or 12 months ($179) are one-time prepaid payments for that many letters. Gift packs never auto-renew. We never charge a gift pack buyer again unless they (or the recipient) choose to continue. Gift announcement: an optional one-time $5 printed letter mailed to the recipient right away.

Continuing a story

Near the end of a gift pack, we include a page in the recipient's next-to-last letter and may email the buyer about 3 weeks before the pack ends, offering a way to keep reading. Continuing is optional and requires a new purchase. A continuation picks up with the next letter number. A monthly plan chosen to follow a pack is not billed until the pack's letters have run out.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel the monthly plan at any time by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; a letter already paid for will still be mailed. If you're unhappy with a gift pack, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund the unmailed letters.

Shipping

US addresses only. Letters are mailed on or about the 1st of each month by USPS First-Class Mail. We're not responsible for postal delays, but we'll resend a letter that never arrives.

Addresses

You're responsible for giving a correct address. Letters returned as undeliverable may not be resent until the address is fixed.

Content

You must be 18 or older to order, and you confirm the reader is 18+ and has agreed to receive disturbing fictional content. All story content is copyrighted. Your letters are for personal enjoyment; please don't republish them.
